Project Update for Friday, July 15, 2022

Jul 15, 2022

Our Volt Broadband Fiber To The Home project has reached several milestones. First, the fiber is hung and all road crossing for mainline fiber have been completed. Splicing will begin Monday, July 18th and testing will begin to determine that the quality of light meets our desired speeds and latency requirements. Construction has also begun on the Bonita Road feeder out of Log Cabin for mainline fiber. “Make-ready” continues in the Log Cabin areas, with vegetation and tree trimmings the primary issue that remains. “Make-ready” is also underway in our Baskin substation which will feed Liddieville and Mangham. The feeder that runs along Hwy 577 to Crowville is being evaluated for “make-ready” needs to allow the fiber to be installed. Make sure to follow us on social media for more updates.
